I’m a big fan of making my own tomato sauce out of crushed tomato cans. A couple of those cans, a whole onion, a bunch of garlic, and maybe a bell pepper. Then a nice helping of ground turkey meat and spices thrown in for a solid, healthy meat sauce. Topping some spaghetti with that is probably one of my favorite simple meals to have all week. Pack it for lunch easily and have quick dinners.

I love making pasta sauce, too, with pretty much the same recipe. I do use a lot of herbs and spices (dried oregano, basil, and a fair bit of crushed cayenne and paprika since I like the sauce to have a bit of heat). The only big difference is your use of ground turkey where I normally use a mix of ground beef and pork.
T here has to be something magic that happens with a meat n tomato sauce like this since I find it to be even better when it’s reheated. I rarely enjoy reheated leftovers but reheated pasta like this is so delicious.

Can’t go wrong. Are you going to use regular spaghetti noodles or are you going to go with some weird pasta shape?

Reheated spaghetti is always better than when you first make it. It’s like a pasta bake.

Well yeah ground beef can be a little bit tastier but as long as you don't overcook the turkey, it's an excellent substitute. I actually prefer it sometimes just because it's less greasy. But yeah real meat is certainly superior lol. Red pepper flakes are absolutely necessary and I throw in jalapeños if I want some real flavor. It ends up being not far off from a chili sometimes. I follow pretty much the same recipe sometimes plus beans.
